We had our best ever Carols service last night.
The sun was shining, the kids were having a great time in the bouncy castle,
the people on the sausage sizzle did a great job, distributing over 700 sausages and buns.
We had the biggest crowd ever, about 750 – 800.
Our choir was fantastic, including some members from the community, and they were excellent.
The band was not big, but with Eliot, Dale, Jim, Mark and Yonna, they sounded great.
The Inglewood Primary School Choir were great as well.
But the crowd was the real story. They did not want to go home! It was such a beautiful evening, the kids were having a great time and we really sensed it was great for our church to serve the community in a way they really appreciated. I had numerous unsolicited comments from a number of people afterwards, people I didn’t know.
Huge thanks to all those involved, especially the set up and pack away crew! What a great effort.
Well done Mark. Sounds like it was a great night. The joys of daylight saving?
That certainly helped, not hindered our cause!
