I get sick of hearing blokes whinge about their wife, marriage…and certain aspects of marriage.

This may offend, but in my opinion, the husband sets the ‘tone’ for the house. If he wants his wife to respond…he needs to initiate.

Case in point, if you did nothing nice or different for your wife yesterday, (Valentines Day) have a long hard look in the mirror…cause it is your fault she is cranky.

I know myself how difficult it is to write a message, a sermon, if I am not in a prayerful state. you can go through the motions, but to be honest, without Gods spirit and the energy that God gives, the sermon is boring. Its boring for me! God gives insights which you can’t get unless you are experiencing His presence personally.
Can you relate? Sometimes in your own personal devotion time you are reading the bible and something in there just jumps out and grabs you. Sometimes you read your Bible and it is as dry as a dusty Nullabor plain.
We need God to lead, we need personal devotion to be able to make Godly decisions.

First day back at Church for three months.

While I was back in the office this week, this Sunday will be the first Sunday back for me for three months. That is after about 18 years when the most I had ever taken off was two Sundays in a row.

We visited many churches over the time we were away, and enjoyed them all. But I have to say that I missed ‘my’ church. The people, the vibe, the music…the good humour and the love. It is a great Church…a great mob of people trying to serve God and their community.

Can’t wait to be back, bringing a message from 1 Timothy on leadership and the Church.
